About OHC

Sean O’Meara, M.A., is the owner and principal investigator for O’Meara Heritage Consulting, LLC. Sean has professional experience conducting ethnographic and ethnobotanical research, documenting oral histories, and other historic preservation projects with and for Indigenous and local communities, academic institutions, non-profit organizations, and in collaboration with other researchers in the southwestern, central plains, and intermountain region of the United States since 2007.

Sean received his Masters of Arts in American Indian Studies, a graduate certificate in the Administration and Management of Native American Natural Resources, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Arizona. He is also a registered cultural anthropologist with the New Mexico State Historic Preservation Office and an Affiliated Research Anthropologist with the School of Anthropology at Northern Arizona University. He is a former ISA Certified Arborist and AmeriCorps volunteer. Sean is based in Flagstaff, Arizona.
